Travel to the PHOBIA conference

Back to conference homepage

The PHOBIA conference will be held in the ATRiuM campus of the University of Glamorgan (for Creative and Cultural Industries), which is situated in central Cardiff. Registration for the conference will be held in the foyer; all tea and lunch breaks, and the wine reception will be held in the Zen Room, on the top floor; room venues for the papers will be clearly signposted.

The Atrium building is situated on Adam Street, off Bute Terrace, in central Cardiff: its postcode is CF24 2FN. Click here to access a link to its location on a map

Regrettably, the seminar organisers cannot organise accommodation for delegates. If you require accommodation, we suggest that you try the following options (please note that some of the chain hotels have a number of branches within Cardiff, some further out of the centre than others): please ensure that you are booking a room in the branch you want!)

RAIL

Atrium is 10 mins walk from Cardiff Central train station. Cardiff Central is a hub for trains from all directions: go to www.nationalrail.co.uk for more information regarding timetables. There are 2 trains an hour from London Paddington; the journey takes between 2 hours (at peak periods) and 2hrs 15 mins (off peak). The last train back to London is at 21.25 (arriving 23.42). And do book early to ensure cheapest fares!

COACH

Cardiff coach and bus station is directly outside the train station and, again, 10 mins walk from Atrium. National Express coaches connect Cardiff with a huge range of UK locations, and Stagecoach and Arriva Wales run to locations within Wales.

AIR

If you’re coming from abroad, the closest airports are Cardiff International Airport; or Bristol Airport. Or you can fly to any of the London airports, and connect to Cardiff via train or coach.

DRIVING

Click here for instructions about how to reach Atrium by road. Do follow the instructions for Atrium campus, NOT Trefforest!
